BIN CLOSURES IN WING

Dear all,

We have had to cordon off a few public waste bins around Bewick Green & Taylor Wimpey Estate on health and safety grounds due to late or cancelled emptying by BCC.

The developers of these two estates are still responsible for emptying these bins, which they don’t manage to do on a regular basis, so the Parish Council have taken it upon themselves to do it, helping the village stay clear of overflowing bins of rubbish, including dog waste that has been thrown in these bins.

As we are all in lockdown and should all remain indoors as much as possible, the bins will remain closed until further notice.

We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause during these tough times but will keep parishioners informed of any further developments.

Many thanks,

David Kellner

Wing Parish Council Chairman

_____ DEPOSITING OF DOG WASTE _________

Can we take this opportunity to remind you that any bin will do to deposit your dog’s waste ( but of course not those we have cordoned off ).

As long as the waste is securely sealed in a plastic bag (  such as a dog poop bag or nappy sack ),  ideally double bag the waste to avoid any leakage!

This includes your own green top wheelie bin ( but not the blue top wheelie bin or the food recycling bin ).

We ask you to kindly pick up your dog’s poop and not leave dog waste where it “fell”  and deposit it in the nearest available bin – even if this means you have to carry it home and use your own green top wheelie bin

WE KINDLY ASK YOU TO RESPECT THIS AND NOT USE THE CORDONED OFF BINS FOR ANY WASTE.

Thank you for your cooperation!
