A café in All Saints Church. A drink of tea or coffee and a cake is available for a suggested donation of £2 per person. Many people come to sit and read the paper, meet people or as a treat for the children. Offers for helping at the café are always welcome.

They arrange small monthly tea parties in hosts’ homes and the guests are picked up by volunteer drivers. There is no charge and it is open to people 75 and over living alone.

Simply Walks (Wing Branch)

Gentle walk for 30-45 minutes led by trained volunteers and “back markers”, so you can walk at your own pace. There is no booking fee and free to attend, although donations are welcome.

This is a daycare service that is run by volunteers who have been working with the elderly in Wing for the past 20 plus years. It is held in Wantage Crescent all day on a Thursday, a home-cooked meal is provided and transport can be arranged. If you are a carer who would like to hear more about us or someone who would like a social day out, please get in touch.

The ‘Pop-In’ – Age Concern, Wing and District aims to provide an afternoon of entertainment, friendship, fun and a cup of tea and cake. The charge is £3 for the afternoon — please come along for a free taster! There are also 2 or 3 outings a year.
