Extraordinary Council Meetings

The Parish Council has received a number of Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests from some parishioners, to which it is required to respond within defined periods. The Parish Council needs to ensure that its responses are as full as possible, whilst complying with the relevant legal requirements and decided it would be appropriate to consider seeking advice from a solicitor. The Extraordinary Meeting on Tuesday, 8 May discussed and agreed that legal advice should to be taken and formal approval for the related expenditure was given. Any and all costs associated with preparing responses to these requests will have to be provided from Parish funds.  As the requests relate to matters which may be regarded as confidential, the meeting was not open to the public and press, in accordance with Section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, although Minutes were taken.
